NBC PBP announcer went apeshit right after that save. The phone booth was rockin'! Dan, I'll trade you Tim Thomas and Jarome Iginla for him. You have too many damn Caps to begin with.
I'm sorry...I have to add KUDOS to Gabby for having the balls to make that switch after game 1 vs the Rangers. Yet another reason you gotta love the guy.
And to back your comment up in the post...SUCK IT, Crosby!
I'm working at the Pittsburgh Public Theater now, and there was a group of us at the Pirates game in a Luxury Suite for a work party. There were 8 of us in the suite, and 6 of us (and most of the other suites around us) were watching the Pens/Caps and keeping tabs on the Bucs (who deftly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by bringing in a closer (Matt Capps) who gave up 4 runs in the 9th, turning a 1 run lead into a 3 run deficit... ladies and gentlemen... Your Pittsburgh Pirates!) But even we had to look at that save and just go... DAMN! This series has been awesome so far. Go Pens! PS. I enjoy the blog even though I grew up in Pittsburgh and now live here again.
Here's the rating format that we'll use when reviewing Films in The Film Room or television shows in the T.V. Timeout. (0 - 5 scale...0 being the worst, 5 being the best):
:00 - Game Over 1 - Point After 2 - Two Minute Minor 3 - Draining the Three 4 - Four-Minute Double Minor 5 - Five Minute Major
The Film Room: Batman - The Dark Knight: 5-Minute Major (Matt) We Are Marshall: 4-Minute Double Minor (Dan) I Know Who Killed Me: (-1) Game never started (Jason)
